{"id":2909,"date":"2025-06-02T15:56:20","date_gmt":"2025-06-02T12:56:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/insha-osvita.org\/?p=2909"},"modified":"2026-01-16T15:01:23","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T13:01:23","slug":"open-call-na-proiekt-rhizom-razom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/insha-osvita.org\/en\/open-call-na-proiekt-rhizom-razom\/","title":{"rendered":"Open call for the RHIZOM\/RAZOM project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In cooperation with the Ukrainian Institute in Germany, we announce an open call for participation in the \u201cRHIZOM\/RAZOM: Reinforcing Transregional Cultural Partnerships\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This call is intended for Ukrainian and German NGOs, cultural and educational institutions operating in the socio-cultural sector that wish to implement joint projects in 2025\/26 exploring the theme of decolonisation. RHIZOM\/RAZOM is the second edition of the cultural programme initiated by the Ukrainian Institute in Germany. The programme is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>OBJECTIVES OF THE CALL<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme supports projects that:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">build and strengthen Ukrainian-German partnerships, laying the foundation for long-term cooperation between the participants;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">engage the general as well as professional public in reflecting on democracy in Europe through the lens of decolonisation;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">enhance the resilience and capacity of regional NGOs and cultural\/educational institutions in Germany and Ukraine;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">promote the exchange of expertise among artists, researchers, and cultural professionals from both countries.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We understand decolonisation to include cultural, historical, and epistemic dimensions \u2014 e.g. projects that challenge inherited narratives, elevate marginalised voices, or address post-Soviet and post-colonial power structures in cultural contexts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>WHO CAN APPLY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applications are accepted from organisations that:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are legally registered NGOs, who work in the socio-cultural and educational field;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">non-commercial cultural or educational institutions in Ukraine or Germany;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">already have a confirmed partner in the respective other country (Ukraine or Germany).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you do not yet have a partner but have a fitting project idea, see the Partner Matching section below.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eligible projects must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">be jointly implemented by a Ukrainian-German partnership.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">be carried out in regions of Germany \u2014 specifically in cities with a population of under 150,000. Preference will be given to projects located outside major urban centres, to support decentralised cultural engagement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">be aligned with the programme\u2019s core values: Human rights, democratic participation, environmental sustainability, and rule of law \u2014 all in the context of decolonial thinking.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure that the applicants have the legal and financial capacity to receive and manage funds. This includes maintaining a bank account (in Germany or Ukraine) capable of accepting grant payments, and the ability to legally disburse funds for project-related expenses in accordance with the approved budget and national regulations.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme supports a wide range of artistic formats in the fields of music, theatre\/performance, visual arts, film, literature, as well as interdisciplinary and research-based projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>FUNDING AVAILABLE<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From \u20ac5000 up to \u20ac20,000 per project. Both full and partial funding is possible.
