{"id":3449,"date":"2026-08-12T15:00:22","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T12:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/insha-osvita.org\/?p=3449"},"modified":"2026-08-12T15:02:51","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T12:02:51","slug":"hranty-na-proiekty-mizhnarodnoi-spivpratsi-rezultaty-pershoho-konkursu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/insha-osvita.org\/en\/hranty-na-proiekty-mizhnarodnoi-spivpratsi-rezultaty-pershoho-konkursu\/","title":{"rendered":"Collaboration grants: first call results"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Culture Helps Solidarity supports cultural and artistic professionals from Ukraine to maintain their ability to work, stay resilient, and keep connections with their communities during the war and after its conclusion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within the current call for international cooperation grants, you can receive between 20,000 and 30,000 euros for cultural and artistic initiatives that support adaptation and transition \u2014 for people who have moved to a new environment after being forced to leave their homes, and those returning home (or to new communities) after military service.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the first international cooperation grant call, we received 197 applications and will support 18 projects from Ukraine, Germany, Italy, Poland, and others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Congratulations to the participants whose applications received the highest evaluation scores:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Youth Drama Theatre &#8220;AmaTea&#8221; (Ukraine) + Neue Nachbarn e.V (Germany) &#8211; Paper Cities<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Paper Cities&#8221; is an immersive art-therapy and integration project designed for displaced persons, veterans in Ukraine, and refugees in Germany. Moving beyond traditional puppetry, the initiative will focus on the co-creation of large-scale paper installations and giant puppets that will serve as metaphors for the fragile yet resilient nature of \u201chome.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using a unique psychogeographic methodology, participants will engage in \u201cArt-Walks\u201d to bridge lost memories with their current host cities. These observations will be transformed into monumental facades where Ukrainian traditional codes, such as vytynanka, will blend with European architecture. A central element of the project will be the \u201cLiving Garden,\u201d integrating real plants into paper structures to symbolise ecological rebirth and hope growing through the trauma of war.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Art Dot (Ukraine) + Ulysses Theatre (Croatia) &#8211; Healing Harmonies: Trauma\u2011Informed Music Sessions and Professional Exchange for Veterans\u2019 Recovery<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u0421ollaboration between Art Dot (Ukraine) and Ulysses Theatre (Croatia) will combine direct trauma-informed music art therapy sessions for military personnel at the Unbroken Center (Lviv) with a cross-border professional exchange and training programme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over 12 months, Art Dot and international expert Prof. Nigel Osborne (Ulysses) will deliver 12 group music art therapy sessions for veterans, supporting emotional regulation, reducing isolation, and restoring agency. In parallel, a training programme for Ukrainian musicians and cultural professionals will transfer competencies in trauma recognition, autonomic nervous system regulation, and trauma-informed facilitation, drawing on Ulysses\u2019 two decades of experience in music therapy camps for war-affected communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project will foster community connection, strengthen cross-border cultural relations, and build sustainable skills among cultural professionals to work with vulnerable groups.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Budmo (Ukraine) + UNBROKEN (Ukraine) + InnoRenew CoE, University of Primorska (Slovenia) &#8211; The Resilient Theatre: Participatory cultural theatre rooted in local materials for and with Ukrainian veterans<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The &#8220;Resilient Theatre&#8221; project will create a small cultural gathering space at the Unbroken rehabilitation centre in Lviv, built with and for the community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Combining theatre practice, collective making, and ecological construction, the project will enable storytelling, expression, and social connection. Participants at Unbroken will be involved in all stages of the process, co-designing, building, and activating the space through guided performances. Grounded in the personal stories of veterans undergoing rehabilitation, the theatre will become a platform for social transformation, turning individual experiences into shared narratives while fostering agency, resilience, and a sense of belonging.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By extending rehabilitation beyond medical care, the project will embed cultural participation into everyday life. Conceived as a pilot initiative, it will include documentation and evaluation activities to develop a transferable model for participatory theatre in rehabilitation and community rebuilding contexts.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Consorzio Materahub Industrie Culturali e Creative S.c.a.r.l. (Italy) + Municipal institution &#8220;Veteranskyi prostir&#8221; of the Khmelnytskyi City Council (Ukraine) &#8211; RE-ROOT: Bridging Recovery and Professional Craft Pathways<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The RE-ROOT project will integrate psycho-social recovery with social entrepreneurship to support veterans. It will guide 10 veterans through a multi-phase capacity-building journey. The initiative will leverage creativity both as a tool for initial healing and as a viable professional pathway.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Core activities will include tailored systemic assistance, alongside a structured mobility exchange in Matera, Italy. This exchange will enable staff and veterans to develop entrepreneurial competences, as well as digital and green skills. Participants will explore craft models that blend tradition, innovation, and inclusion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Furthermore, a dedicated mentorship programme will run from January to April 2027, concluding with a Local Multiplier Event in Khmelnytskyi that will foster broad community integration. Ultimately, RE-ROOT will test a scalable and pioneering model that uses traditional crafts and eco-friendly design to rebuild personal wellbeing, promote social inclusion, and lay the groundwork for veteran-driven sustainable creative careers.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>NGO CMYK (Ukraine) + WUT Kollektiv (Germany)\u00a0 \u2013 CMYK (Education course + Rave)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CMYK Education is a hybrid educational programme that connects electronic musicians with the living tradition of Ukrainian authentic music. Over nine weeks, participants will learn to work ethically with authentic recordings, study the structure and regional diversity of traditional music, and network with traditional bands.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The culmination\u2014and final point\u2014of the programme will be a rave featuring graduates of the course, traditional bands, and a resident artist from the partner organisation WUT Kollektiv. The CMYK rave will be more than a student showcase. At its core, it will aim to give younger audiences a chance to encounter something yet unfamiliar\u2014traditional music and dance\u2014through the language of electronic music they already know.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For many participants and audiences, the rave will become their first introduction to an undistorted traditional sound: one with no barrier to entry, and one that will spark genuine curiosity to explore authentic culture more deeply.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Flutgraben e. V. (Germany) + Charitable Foundation \u00abBlaha Nadiia\u00bb (Toteatr) (Ukraine) + Nehemiah (Ukraine) &#8211; Split\/Home<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project will organise a verbatim theatre performance mixing human subject and archival research to stage the commonalities, conflicts, and unique stories of women IDPs and EDPs throughout Ukrainian history.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using a mix of first-person art therapy workshops, interviews, and published letters and diaries, the project will focus on forms of historical and contemporary forced emigration, combining theatre, data-driven, and academic research to stage the stories of women in a safe and ethical manner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The process will focus on the \u201csplit home\u201d effect experienced when women are forced to leave. The \u201ctwo realities\u201d experienced by women from Ukraine will be explored as a site of shame, anger, and frustration, as well as potential dividing factors that prevent cooperation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The performance will be developed at Toteatr Kyiv, with on-site research at Nehemiah\u2019s base in Uzhhorod, a repeat performance at Caf\u00e9 Kyiv on February 24th, 2027, and a connected event at Flutgraben e.V., Berlin.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Jazdaa Polska! Foundation for Young Artists (Poland) + Grand Theater im. Stanislawa Moniuszki in Poznan (Poland) + Kyiv National Theatre of Operetta (Ukraine) &#8211; Art of war<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Art of War&#8221; is a participatory opera project engaging Ukrainian and Polish youth (aged 15\u201317) in an intensive co-creation process. The project will include 35 workshops in Pozna\u0144 and a two-week intensive programme of daily workshops in Kyiv, combining music, movement, writing, and multimedia practices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants will collaboratively develop an original opera reflecting on war, peace, displacement, and emotional realities shaped by contemporary conflicts. The process will create a safe space for dialogue, expression, and intercultural exchange, particularly for young people affected by war and migration. The project will strengthen community connections, foster empathy, and support emotional wellbeing through artistic practice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will culminate in a public performative presentation and the creation of artistic materials (libretto, music sketches, video documentation), forming the foundation for a future full-scale opera production. By combining art, education, and social engagement, the project will build new forms of solidarity across borders.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Katarzyna Kozyra Foundation (Poland) + Charitable Foundation for Art Support \u201cArtsvit Gallery\u201d (Ukraine) &#8211; Secondary Archive Ukraine<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project focuses on pioneering women artists through the lens of \u201creturn,\u201d understood as a cultural and archival process. It will highlight artists who have become military service members and are re-entering the art field by bringing renewed visibility to their practices and personal histories, artists who were born or professionally active abroad but maintain strong thematic and intellectual ties to Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Nafta Theater (Ukraine) + Association R.B. (J\u00e9r\u00f4me Bel Company) (France) +\u00a0 CO CF Unbroken (Ukraine) &#8211; GALA by Jerome Bel: A Community Dance Performance in Lviv<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project will support the staging of the dance performance &#8220;GALA&#8221; in Lviv in July 2026. *GALA* will bring together 20 individuals from diverse backgrounds to share the stage and engage with forms of dance and theatre rooted in a common cultural language. Originally conceived and directed by J\u00e9r\u00f4me Bel, the performance will involve both professionals and non-professionals\u2014including veterans and internally displaced persons\u2014living in Lviv.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project will create a unique environment in which participants, reflecting the city\u2019s social fabric, will come together to reimagine themselves as a community through a shared performative experience and will remain connected long after the project\u2019s conclusion. The performance will be followed by a reflection meeting for participants, as well as four public events in Lviv, Kharkiv, Kyiv, and Paris. These events will explore the creative process behind the staging of *GALA* and examine the role of theatre in fostering inclusion and supporting the reintegration of individuals into society.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>P\u0103m\u00e2nteni Association (Romania) + Kharkiv Foundation for Psychological Studies (Ukraine)+ Solidart Association (Romania) &#8211; Stories That Act: Participatory Theatre Across Borders<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Stories That Act: Participatory Theatre Across Borders&#8221; is a Ukrainian\u2013Romanian project using Forum Theatre and Playback Theatre to address displacement, trauma, and social inclusion. The project will be implemented in Timi\u0219oara (Romania) and Uzhhorod (Ukraine) and will include the training of facilitators in participatory theatre methods, workshops with displaced Ukrainians and local participants, and the co-creation of performances based on real-life experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The process will culminate in public performances followed by audience discussions. The project will be implemented by PAMANTENI together with partners experienced in Forum and Playback Theatre, including Basca Theatre \/ Solidart and Station Uzh. It will build on existing collaboration within the Faina UA community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project will support emotional expression, foster dialogue between communities, and encourage active participation in cultural life. It will also strengthen the capacity of artists and facilitators to work with participatory methods in contexts shaped by war and migration.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Part.ua e.V. (Germany) + Creative Residency MC6 (Ukraine) + Associazione Culturale e20danza (Italy) &#8211; Trauma-Informed Movement Residency: cross-border practices for healing and bridging diverse experiences of Ukrainian women<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project will develop a trauma-informed dance residency in Ukraine for women from vulnerable groups, including female defenders, internally displaced persons, caregivers, and volunteers. Hosted by Creative Residency MC6 (Ukraine) and developed in partnership with e20danza (Italy) and Part.ua e.V. (Germany), it will bring together Ukrainian participants with local and international dance practitioners to create a safe, women-centred space for embodied expression, exchange, and recovery.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through movement, voice, and collective practices, participants will engage in non-verbal processes that will support emotional relief, the regaining of agency, and the encouragement of social connection across diverse wartime experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The residency will be complemented by online knowledge-sharing sessions connecting Ukrainian and EU practitioners, extending access to refugee and diaspora communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project will strengthen cross-border collaboration and contribute to the development of inclusive, trauma-informed artistic methodologies. Its outcomes will include an international professional network, digital publications, and visual documentation, ensuring broader dissemination and long-term impact within European cultural and dance contexts.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Tanec Praha z.\u00fa. (Czech Republic) + Molotok (Ukraine) + Dancehood, z.\u00fa. (Czech Republic) &#8211; Dance Therapy in Practice<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This project will build on Tanec Praha\u2019s ongoing support for refugees from Ukraine. It will provide an opportunity to put into practice the outcomes of dance therapy seminars held from October 2024 to March 2026 with the support of the Erasmus+ programme, while continuing the inclusion of children from refugee families through regular dance classes for three age groups, as well as parents from Ukraine through the \u201cDance with the Heart\u201d classes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A new element enriching the project will be the exchange of experiences with a partner organisation directly in Ukraine through a series of camps organised for specific target groups, such as children and mothers. Two camps will take place in the Czech Republic and two in Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The expertise of both partners will be of crucial importance: Dancehood, led by Ukrainian teacher and choreographer Yana Reutova, and Molotok in Zakarpattia, which collaborates with Ukrainian teacher and dancer Maria Kondratieva.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Bentegy Theatre (Ukraine) + Qendra e Arteve Vizuale (Kosovo) + Ukrainian LGBT Military for Equal Rights (Ukraine) &#8211; Under the Uniform<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Under the Uniform&#8221; is a documentary theatre project exploring the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ veterans in Ukraine and the complexity of returning from war while carrying identities that remain socially fragile and politically contested.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project will be based on in-depth interviews conducted in Ukraine and will develop through a co-creation residency in collaboration with Qendra Multimedia (Kosovo). The residency will focus on dramaturgical development, resulting in a work-in-progress presentation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By connecting post-conflict contexts of Ukraine and Kosovo, the project will create a space for artistic exchange and dialogue around identity, memory, and social reintegration. It will also engage directly with local communities, including veterans, fostering visibility, empathy, and public conversation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project aims to contribute to contemporary documentary theatre practices while addressing urgent social realities in Europe today.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Ukraine Amiti\u00e9 (France) + Creativity for Life Foundation (Ukraine) + LeLaboPhoto (France) &#8211; Carnets de Voyage: A Creative Summer Camp for Ukrainian Youth<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This project will bring together 19 Ukrainian children who have lost a parent in the war for a 10-day creative camp in Arcachon and Bordeaux. For many participants, this will be their first encounter with the ocean, a powerful and transformative experience that will be central to the workshops. The programme will use photography, writing, and nature-based activities to document their reactions to this new environment, alongside reflections on their personal journeys. Participants will create personal carnets de voyage and a collective artwork, which they will take home. The project will culminate in a public exhibition, with the potential to travel to other European cities through our network. Volunteer photographers from LeLaboPhoto will team up with the participants, sharing their local knowledge and artistic experience.The project will also create opportunities for interaction with local communities in Bordeaux, supporting the social inclusion of Ukrainian youth within a European context.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Ukrainian Cultural Centre in Ireland (Ireland) + PEN Ukraine (Ukraine) + Irish PEN \/ PEN na h\u00c9ireann (Ireland) &#8211; Bridging the Distance: Ukrainian and Irish Literary Voices<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project aims to establish new literary connections between Ukrainian and Irish writers, including: Ukrainian novice writers who have arrived in Ireland as refugees; Ukrainian writers-soldiers or veterans from Ukraine; Irish writers who support Ukraine and have written about decolonialism and peace issues. The 12-month project will include: 3-day literary workshop in Dublin for selected writers; writing original essays for a future joint book by participants (for novice Ukrainian writers in Ireland \u2014 with mentoring by professional Irish and Ukrainian colleagues); publication of an English-language collection of essays. The project will support integration of novice Ukrainian writers-refugees into the Irish literary community, improving their ability to actively participate in Irish cultural life, and re-connecting with fellow Ukrainian writers in Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project will also raise the international profile of Ukrainian writers of war. The project&#8217;s activities and outcomes will build a solid foundation for future collaborations and building Ukrainian-Irish cultural ties.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>United Ukrainian Theatre (Netherlands) + Zaporizhzhia Municipal Theater &#8220;Actor&#8217;s House&#8221; (Ukraine) &#8211; Letters Home<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cLetters Home\u201d is a collaborative cross-border documentary theatre project that explores a dialogue between Ukrainians who made different choices during the war: some left for Europe and live with homesickness and guilt, while others stayed in Ukraine amid\u00a0 shelling, and constant danger.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over 2.5 months, parallel laboratories in both theatres will develop dramaturgical material using the verbatim method. Participants\u2019 personal stories will form 18 monologues: 12 from Ukrainian performers ( refugees and veterans) living in the Netherlands and 6 from actors and veterans in Zaporizhzhia. \u00a0 The project will result in performances combining live acting and video monologues: in the Netherlands, 12 live stories with video from Zaporizhzhia; in Zaporizhzhia, 6 live stories with video from the Netherlands. Participants include Ukrainian IDPs, actors, and veterans working with psychologists and professional theatre makers from Ukraine and the Netherlands.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>YermilovCentre (Ukraine) + Artlaboratory (Ukraine) + Portail de l\u2019Ukraine (France) \u2013 OpARTuning<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OpARTuning &#8211; is an interdisciplinary project, that aims to develop a two-week career guidance programme in the creative sector for internally displaced teenagers from Ukraine in the city of Lille, based on a one-month research residency by an art curator from Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During this residency, a theoretical and practical framework will be established that will effectively, meaningfully and creatively present opportunities and provide an understanding for professional fulfilment by exploring the points of intersection between European and Ukrainian cultural contexts and artistic practices, with the aim of fully integrating Ukrainian teenagers into local art scene, by promoting quality socialisation tools, mutual learning and exchange of experiences through activities, based at the independent creative hubs and local government centres.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The result of the project should be a comprehensive, well-developed case study that offers a blueprint for the further development of similar independent programmes offering creative and educational immersion for Ukrainian youth abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Zdie\u013eaj (Slovakia) + Irshavski Promeni (Ukraine) &#8211; Creative Resilience: Mobile Community Art Workshops Connecting Ukrainian and Slovak Communities<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim of the &#8220;Creative Resilience&#8221; project is to organise a series of creative, art-based workshops in Irshava and its surrounding areas in Ukraine, as well as in Bratislava and nearby regions in Slovakia. The workshops will focus on accessible artistic methods such as ArtRelax (led by Tetiana Didenko), quilling (Alla Starchenko), storytelling, effective communication, and poetry. These activities will be designed to support emotional expression, reduce stress, and strengthen social connections.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The primary target group will consist of displaced Ukrainian mothers and their children affected by war-related trauma and displacement. Through safe and welcoming creative spaces, participants will be encouraged to share experiences, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the same time, the project will create opportunities for Ukrainian artists to continue their professional practice and actively engage with communities.
