
“Culture Helps / Культура допомагає”: results of the seventh call of the individual grants
We are announcing the results of the final competition for individual grants to support mental health within the “Culture Helps / Культура допомагає” project. This programme supports cultural managers and activists who work to integrate Ukrainians who were forced to move to safer regions of Ukraine or abroad due to full-scale war into new communities through cultural practices.
During the seventh individual grant competition, we received 206 applications, from which we will be able to support 29 cultural figures:

All applications were evaluated by an independent jury, including experts from the cultural, artistic, and civic spheres:
- Anastasiia Manuliak — a head of the “Visual Art” department of the Ukrainian Institute;
- Valeria Polska — a psychoeducational trainer and art therapist, an advocate of evidence-based methods;
- Lyudmila Tomashpolska — an honored artist of the arts of Ukraine, TV director, pedagogue of KyMU and KPDU, expert of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and the Ukrainian Book Institute;
- Yulia Filipieva — a cultural manager in British Council;
- Veronika Sklyarova — a theatre critic, producer of art projects, director of the NGO Art Dot and program curator of the Art Therapy Force project;
- Krystyna Slobodianiuk — an independent artist;
- Yurii Veselskyi — a head of art programs and grant specialist of the Representative Office of the Danish Institute of Culture in Ukraine, the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House;
- Svitlana Bazhenova — a director of the NGO Art Dot and the program curator of the Art Therapy Force project;
- Sofia Korotkevych — an artist of conceptual, graphic and applied art, manager of cultural and artistic projects;
- Lina Romanukha — a culture and art specialist of the Engage Programme;
- Yulia Tkachenko — a psychologist, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist, expert of the Psikultura agency;
- Denys Vasyliev – founder of the Center for the Development of Business Technologies and Culture, director of the Museum of the History of Musical Instruments “BarabanZA” in Zaporizhia, expert of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation;
- Natalia Pedan — a cultural manager, curator of art projects, museologist, head of the department of research and revival of decorative and applied art and exhibition activities of the Kharkiv Regional Organizational and Methodological Center for Culture and Art;
- Anton Yermolaev — a psychologist, a practitioner of transactional analysis in the field of psychotherapy, a mental health consultant in organizations and a co-founder of the psychological agency Psikultura;
- Maryna Slyot — a music therapist, a specialist at the Confidence Psychological Assistance Center, a leading specialist and expert at Art Therapy Force.
