Online workshop within Remembrance in Dialogue
Remembrance in Dialogue is an international project focused on preserving the memory of the Holocaust in the context of contemporary wars. Within the project, 12 professionals working in the field of formal and non-formal historical education in Germany, Poland, and Ukraine completed a training program dedicated to working with historical and cultural memory. They are now ready to share their knowledge with a wider audience during the online workshop “Teaching the History of the Holocaust During War: Sources and Methodologies”.
The program will also be complemented by talks from invited experts:
- “Teaching the History of the Holocaust through Primary Sources and Testimonies: Pedagogical Practices and Recommendations” — Natalia Lazar, Program Manager for International Academic Programs at the Holocaust Research Center of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
- “Methodology and Methods of Teaching the History of the Holocaust During Russian Aggression and the War in Ukraine: Challenges and Trends” — Anatolii Podolskyi, PhD in History, Director of the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies.
The workshop will take place on 19 November, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on the Zoom platform. Registration is available via the link. The working language of the event is Ukrainian.
We invite everyone interested to join the workshop — teachers, educators, people working with commemorative projects, as well as anyone interested in the topic.
