Vidnova Fellowship Ukraine 2023

Just like last year, on Independence Day of Ukraine, we are launching a new call of the Vidnova Fellowship Ukraine programme. We want to support people who, worked in the public, educational, and cultural sectors before the full-scale invasion and were forced to go abroad, but now want to continue their activities at home.

As part of the Vidnova Fellowship Ukraine, we plan to support 50 people who were forced to go abroad but are returning to Ukraine.

The programm provides three months of financial support of UAH 18 000 per month to resume operations in Ukraine, and an additional one-time funding of UAH 10 000 for renting workspaces, mentoring, or training. The programme will also facilitate networking with Ukrainian and European partner organisations.

The programme is designed for activists, artists, social entrepreneurs, and cultural workers who:

  • Went abroad after 24 February 2022 but plan to return to Ukraine in the next three months and need support in resuming their professional activities;
  • Went abroad after 24 February 2022, but returned to Ukraine within the last three months to resume their professional activities.

Priority will be given to activists and professionals working in the following areas:

  • Culture and arts;
  • Non-formal education;
  • Civil activism;
  • Ecology and environmental protection;
  • Independent media;
  • Overcoming the consequences of war in society;
  • Social innovation and social entrepreneurship;
  • Human rights protection.

Selection criteria:

  • There is a clear and structured plan for the implementation of activities during the fellowship;
  • There is an understanding and vision of further work based on the results of the activities initiated under the fellowship programme;
  • Connection with professional activity by 24 February 2022;
  • The proposed activity corresponds to the thematic areas of the Vidnova Fellowship Ukraine programme.

To apply for the programme, please fill in the application form by September 29, 2023. The programme is implemented by Insha Osvita in partnership with MitOst gGmbH and with the support of the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
