«Студії живої історії: громади малих міст ОТГ» — програма, що виникла на основі п’ятирічної діяльності «Студії живої історії». Програма відбувалася в онлайн-форматі та фокусувалась на посиленні спроможностей громад малих міст та ОТГ України, що працюють з осмисленням культурної та історичної спадщини, локальної історії, культури та пам’яті у своїх громадах.

У зв’язку з децентралізацією в Україні, у громад з’явилося більше відповідальності та можливостей у роботі з культурною та історичною спадщиною, проте для успішної діяльності в цій сфері необхідно мати практичний досвід та підтримку. Саме на цьому фокусувалася програма.

Онлайн-формат допоміг залучити громади малих міст та сіл до проєкту, представники та представниці яких не завжди мали змогу долучатися до навчання очно. Учасниками та учасницями стали представники та представниці до Донецької, Запорізької, Рівненської, Хмельницької, Тернопільської, Вінницької, Чернігівської та Херсонської областей.

Представники та представниці 8 громад працювали та вчилися в онлайн-форматі, створюючи та втілюючи свої ініціативи.

У межах програми «Студії живої історії 2020: громади малих міст і ОТГ» було втілено такі проєкти:

1. «Авдіївка. Дослідження цінностей» — проєкт із дослідження локальної ідентичності та історії мешканок та мешканців міста.
2. Документальний фільм «Гість із минулого», створений учасниками та учасницями із Бехтерської громади для популяризації локальної історії.
3. «На перехресті ТРЬОХ культур» — проєкт Грицівської ОТГ про Староволинський бал у замку XVII ст. в селі Гриців та роботу з локальною історією з польсько-єврейсько-українським контекстом.
4. «Скала, кордон і контрабанда» — проєкт команди Скали-Подільської громади, пов’язаний з історією прикордоння та контрабандного руху через річку Збруч та їхній вплив на місто Скала-Подільська.
5. «Жива історія Прилук» — проєкт інтерактивної мапи міста, що сприяє діалогу про збереження історико-культурної спадщини міста.
6. «XX ст.: місто, історія, люди» — інтерактивна онлайн-виставка, розроблена громадою Острога, що стала початком роботи зі складною локальною історією міста 20 століття.
7. «Василь Муржак: історія художника з Брацлавщини» — документальний фільм, що покликаний відкрити загалу постать художника-монументаліста Василя Муржака з Брацлава.
8. «Мапа пам’яті» — проєкт команди із Гуляйполя, що порушує питання пам’яті про єврейську громаду міста.

“Live History Workshop: Small Town Communities and ATCs” is a program that emerged based on the five-year activity of “Live History Workshop.” The program was conducted in an online format and focused on enhancing the capacities of Ukrainian small-town communities and ATCs (Amalgamated Territorial Communities) that work on interpreting their cultural and historical heritage, local history, culture, and memory in their communities.

Because of decentralization in Ukraine, communities have acquired more responsibility and opportunities in working with cultural and historical heritage. However, practical experience and support are necessary for successful activity in this area. This is the precise focus of the program.

The online format helped to involve small town and village communities in the project, whose representatives didn’t always have the opportunity to attend in-person sessions. Participants included representatives from Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Chernihiv, and Kherson regions.

Representatives from 8 communities worked and learned in an online, creating and implementing their initiatives.

Within the program “Live History Workshop 2020: Small Town Communities and ATCs“ the following projects had implemented:

1. “Avdiivka. Research of Values” — a project aimed at studying the local identity and history of the inhabitants of the city.
2. The documentary film “A Guest from the Past” was created by participants from the Behterivska community to popularize local history.
3. “At the Crossroads of Three Cultures” — a project of the Hrytsivska ATC about the Starovolynsky Ball in the XVII century castle in the village Hrytsiv and work with local history in the Polish-Jewish-Ukrainian context.
4. “Skala, Border, and Smuggling” — a project by the Skala-Podilska community team, related to the history of the border and smuggling movement across the Zbruch River and its impact on the city of Skala-Podilska.
5. “Live History of Pryluky” — an interactive map project of the city that promotes dialogue on the preservation of the city’s historical and cultural heritage.
6. “XX Century: City, History, People” — an interactive online exhibition developed by the community of Ostroh, which became the beginning of work with the complex local history of the 20th century city.
7. “Vasyl Murzhak: The History of an Artist from Bratslavshchyna” — a documentary film aimed at introducing the figure of the monumental artist Vasyl Murzhak from Bratslav to the public.
8. “Memory Map” — a project by the team from Huliaipole, which addresses a memory about the Jewish community of the city.
