CULTURAL BRIDGES: support of cultural figures from Southern regions of Ukraine
Insha Osvita is launching a project to support artists with a focus on Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Together with the Asortmentna Kimnata, we invite 10 artists from these regions for a residency in the Khata-Maysternya space. The artists will recover, work (if they wish) and think about their artistic plans. The deadline to apply for the residency is October, 30.
Instead, 10 artists from Ivano-Frankivsk and the region will travel to Odesa for three days to get to know the local cultural context and establish connections with southern colleagues and institutions. The application deadline is October, 19.
The Antonin Artaud Fellowship team has already recruited 20 artists working in the performing and theatrical arts. They will take part in a week-long workshop from October, 30 to November, 4 in Odesa. They will exchange experiences and ideas with mentors. In addition, participants will be able to submit their concepts for a scholarship. At least 5 individuals or teams will receive support and be able to realise their work-in-progress performances in their home cities.
Also, our partners from the post impreza media/archive have announced a call for applications for a three-day visit for 10 cultural journalists from all over Ukraine to Odesa. There, they will delve into the context and talk about the cultural life of the south for a wide audience. You can apply here until October, 22.
The project is implemented within the framework of the programme “Cultural Bridges: support of cultural figures from the Southern regions of Ukraine”, implemented by Insha Osvita with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) project “Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative” (UCBI). In partnership with Asortmentna Kimnata, post impreza, Antonin Artaud Fellowship, Opera aperta.
